OPENING TIMES

Our Times & Prices page has…

• NB all regular skating tickets are only sold “at the door” as bookings are ONLY required for large groups or parties, so just “rock up” during our opening times, when ready

Why can’t people just come in and skate all-the-time?  Although we open 7 days per week, our activities vary, and skater’s own needs vary.  We run hockey (7 leagues) and skill and training programs for new & developing skaters.  We have daytime sessions for schools and special groups. And we have public skating sessions from Friday evening, through to Sunday afternoon (during the term) and extra sessions many public holidays, and all public school holidays.

ENTRY/TICKET PRICING

As is the case with most roller rinks, we charge an entry fee.  In other words, as our predecessors used to say, “Skating is free, however entry is not.”  Perhaps like a Disco (and we really are a roller disco) or like the cinema, you pay to come in, whether you participate/watch, or not. Parents/Grandparents supervising their kids/grandkids are exempt, if they are only watching.  And this is the reason…

Safety and security.   It’s never a good PR exercise to enforce rules that are for the greater good, when they may hurt people’s pockets.  The short story: we do not want kids or adults “hanging around a skate centre,” despite any presumed well intentions, unless they are here to skate.  Some people might disagree, until something goes wrong.  Sorry for the inconvenience, and we do understand that this could be a dealbreaker for some.  But remember, Parents/Grandparents supervising their kids/grandkids are exempt, if they are only watching.

SKATE SHOP &
ONLINE SALES

If you are after roller skate or rollerblades (inline skates) we can help you.  We do only sell from our physical shop, when it comes to skates or equipment, but we do sell online eGift Certificates/Vouchers and Multi Session Vouchers (multi-visit passes).  Because the physical shop is only open when we have public skating or hockey leagues, or training sessions running, you might want to see the skate shop’s opening times HERE.  The Shop’s page had some examples of the most popular skates we sell, and can help you get the gift and other vouchers you are after.

One of our primary functions is actually as a Birthday Party venue!  Our parties can only be booked on the phone, or in person, but we have lots of info for you to consider, on our Groups & Parties page, and on our Party FAQ page, too.
