Summertime Skating Fun

Opening Times & Christmas/NY Closures
With different year-levels and different schools winding things up at different times, and with end-of-term activities at random times, we keep our usual Term Opening Times until Friday evening, 19 December. After that, we switch to our School Holiday Timetable. (SEE HERE FOR MORE TIMES)

Skate Shop
Our skate shop is open whenever we’re running our regular activities — either public sessions or hockey leagues. This is usually nights and weekends during the term, and Monday to Sunday daytimes (plus Fri & Sat evenings) during the holidays.
Roller Hockey Leagues
We have 9 leagues that cater to everyone, playing Monday to Thursday evenings, most of the year. They go on holidays 18 Dec and return Australia Day, 26 Jan! Take advantage of our come-n-try FREE opportunities, available whenever our leagues are running.
Learn-To-Skate Classes
These typically run from 4:45-5:30pm most Saturdays. Only $16 with FREE skate hire! Great for beginner or intermediate roller skaters or rollerbladers. The last class for 2025 will be on Sat, 13 Dec. Classes resume on Sat, 31 Jan.
We’re closed NYE & NYD (31 DEC & 1 Jan), reopening 10am on Friday, 2 Jan. Open every day until Tuesday, 27 Jan, from 10am-4:30pm, plus the usual Fri & Sat evening sessions. This includes Australia Day!
Adult’s Only (18+) Skate Night
Our only summer “AO” NIGHT is on Sat, 3 January 2026! 8:30-10:30pm — after the 6:30-8:30 “for all” session. You’ll need to wait until winter, before our Adults Only Nights return to their 1st Sat of the month schedule — so, don’t miss out! They will be back, 8:30-10:30pm, 6 June.
Roller Hockey Leagues Return
All leagues return from Monday, 26 Jan, after the public session (yes, that’s Australia Day). We’ll have come-n-try days for YOU, so stay in touch, and get your FREE go, if you haven’t played with us before!
Australia Day 2025
We open as usual for public/general skating on the public holiday, from 10am-4:30pm, and on that Monday, our roller hockey leagues return later in the day, too!
End of School Holiday Sessions
Different Public, Private, and Religious Schools go back on different dates, but at Rollerway, our School Holiday Sessions end on Tue, 27 Jan, at 4:30pm.
Learn-to-skate Classes
These return on the last Saturday, 31 Jan, from 4:45-5:30pm. As we mentioned above, classes are only $16, with FREE skate hire! Great for beginner or intermediate roller skaters or rollerbladers, of any age.
Holidays are over, and we are back to our usual routine of Mon-Thu roller hockey action, and Fri-Sun social skating and birthday party activities, but we always try to sneak in some extra fun.
Friday 13th AND Valentine’s Day!
It was going to happen, sooner or later! Valentine’s Day is always on 14 Feb, and this year, the day before is a Friday the 13th! We can’t let an opportunity like that go by, without a special “Double Event” that somehow combines both!!
Fri 6-9pm, 13 Feb & Sat 6:30-8:30, 14 Feb
We’re still working out the details, as we write this blog, but we’ll have it all ready to go soon, and publish the details before the end of January!
As always, there is no booking needed, except for large groups or parties.
February Birthday Parties
With school having recently gone back, we can get a few extra bookings, which can make some times more likely to book out than others. Please book early, rather than at the last minute!
